Could we add a complex of the following:
@broken word (part 'I') + <metamark> (hyphen) + double oblique hyphen + <lb> (following line + @break="no")
??

Alternatively: assign keyboard shortcut to <metamark>

Not working perfectly yet and can't figure why, but try it and let me know if it's helpful. I'll try to improve later.

The function now neither includes the @break="no" attribute in the <lb> nor the @part="F" attribute in the second <w>. The latter always happens when you activate the broken-word function but there's not a second token: then it simply introduces the @part="I" attribute in the first token.

Perhaps we could reduce it to just <metamark> + <lb>, without the broken-word stuff. Would this make it easier?

Could we perhaps modify this fantastic instrument in the sense that we keep it as it is, but don't introduce the 'double oblique hyphen' in the <metamark>-tag, but simply leave it empty? This would make it more usable for other transcriptions
