So, I am taking Biology in high school right now, and I find it really fun. The biochemistry was really interesting to learn about. And then I was playing around with some MineChem. I realized that some complex molecules were actually some simple proteins, and so I was intrigued. To my disappointment, I couldn't find many proteins to mess around with, and, well here's where my idea comes in. What if, either as a direct addition to MineChem or as a separate mod, we added biochemistry and micro-organisms? What if we could create bacteria and viruses, and create diseases to troll our friends with? What if we could create bacteria that created different molecules for us from different elements following instructions in DNA, and we had to build suitable environments for this bacteria? Yes? No? Maybe I'm just a nerd... Anyway, I think that if you don't go completely overboard with biochemistry, you should at least have a different way of making proteins from amino acids than just using the chemical synthesis machine, because that way we could make more complex proteins and stuff.
Welp, I just went on a giant rant... I hope you enjoyed my idea!

Problem is, that we might as well want distillation apparatuses, electrolysis cell (divided, not divided, high temperature...), arc furnaces, other furnaces, discharge chambers added. In fact for the proteins already in game no special processes are required for production, those are readily extractable and aboundant.
Chemical industry is so complex, that biochemistry is not only thing minechem lacks.
in other words: you should totally build an Add-On and apply your BioChem knowledge to the Add-On you make :D I'd use a Mod that has something we can build that we can release and it can feed on the environment and evolve depending upon it's diet and local temperature (for example, SNOW Biome Group could slow down something that eats Lava, potentially killing it and leaving behind some Obsidian as it's corpse).
I recall there was one thing that was able to digest the Ink from a Squid, so of course, THAT would be an awesome feature!
Now presenting: The Squid Hunting Amino Acid!
Release it in Water and watch it hunt all of those pesky Squids for their Ink to satisfy it's endless Hunger!
Oops, it appears it was a bit too rough with that Squid, it seems to have smothered it to Death!
...
(A-la The Simpsons' Mr. Burns) Excellent.
