[Core] Upgrade to RxJava 2 #208

Upgrade to RxJava 2 may be required due to some newer libraries only using RxJava 2.

This may be deferred until we hit that issue. See note on #206

This might not be required as rxjava 1 and 2 can coexist in same project. I will defer this task unless it becomes a blocker issue.
