We are excited to announce that the official standalone docker image is ready! 🐳

Installing Homway using the built-in Home Assistant addon support is the best way to set up and use Homeway. But for Home Assistant servers that don't support addons, users can also use the Standalone Docker Image or the Standalone Linux CLI!

We are excited to introduce you to this new way of using Homeway! Give it a try, and be sure to share your feedback!

Hot on the heels of the zstandard compression perf release, we have a new release with even more! With this release, we added support for PY request sessions, which makes our HTTP calls even faster! We also fixed a few bugs that would cause the Home Assistant front end to break in some cases.

This update supports our super simple Alexa and Google Assistant setup for standalone plugins! There are still a few install scenarios where the super simple setup isn't possible, but all containers and most standalone addons should work now!!
