Bluetooth light strip pairing fails with err 'PDU status was not success: Invalid request (6)' #76419

homekit_controller documentation |
Hey there @Jc2k, @bdraco, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration ( |
I picked up one of the Flex SA C by LEDVANCE today and when I paired it, its missing a few services on linux, but works great when paired with mac. Something wrong with BlueZ likely here |
Is this something that I would be able to fix by myself? |
I have no idea why its missing yet. It seems to only happen on the LEDVANCE gear. I have an outlet with the same issue |
Ok, I'll wait for more info. |
Any updates so far? @bdraco |
I expect the probability that we can fix this is slim to none |
That is a shame, I guess I should just buy some manual light strips and use ESP home instead! |
I've seen some users replace the controller with esphome or magic home with a home made pin adapter and use the existing strip
We are tracking it it in aiohomekit so it's probably best to close this one and watch it there. Any solution we come up with is unlikely to be accepted, and if it is it will likely take years to make it into the Linux distributions that ship bluez so looking for alternatives is the right approach for now. |
Ok, got it. Thanks for the help! |
The problem
When pairing my LEDVANCE/OSRAM Flex CE Light strip over bluetooth, after inputting the pairing code the pair fails with the message 'This accessory is already paired to another device. Please reset the accessory and try again.' This device works fine when pairing to an IPhone and this behaviour can be replicated on multiple LED strips.
