Have a whole bunch of random USB discs and can never keep track of what's on what? Tired of writing and stripping labels as you change what's on them?
Homebox can help!
Firstly buy some NFC tags that are going to be small enough to fit onto your average USB disc:
Next, create items for your various drives:
Then, using NFC Tools (or whatever you like) write the Homebox asset ID URLs onto the tags and stick them onto your discs.
How it looks:
A note of caution
I'm not sure if there's any possibility that the NFC tags could somehow disrupt the data on the discs but thought I'd flag it as "maybe that's possibly a thing".
I personally haven't seen any indications so far that there's any issue and my NFC tags and drives continue to read just fine.
