Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I need to send the stats from my laptop to my server, even when outside of my LAN.
I could use a VPN, but this would fuck some other things such as Gaming latency.

Another method to send the sensors from the laptop to HA without using MQTT.
Perhaps the HA API over HTTPS?

Describe alternatives you've considered
Using a VPN at all times, but this causes high latency when gaming.
