Simple distributed cache

There's a prject https://github.com/iwanbk/bcache that uses https://github.com/weaveworks/mesh and this project to create a simple distributed cahe, it works pretty well, unfortunately both bcache and mesh seem to be abandoned... It would be awesome if Hashicorp could incorporate those projects, or something similar into golang-lru to provide a simple way of getting a distributed LRU cache.
