Kage only supports Fragment shaders, so you can't do any modern form of computing without rendering with it. By "modern form" I mean compute shaders. There are hacky ways to compute stuff through fragment shaders, as it was done in the past on openGL too, but those are just that, hacks (with many limitations, caveats and inconveniences... you can google more about it if you want, though). |
