Hello, My name is Guy McSwain and I'm the author and maintainer for this repository. I started this effort about four years ago while I was also still kind of a NodeJs/Javascript noob. When I look at some of the code now I cringe a bit but it still suits my needs well and I've had a lot of great contributions along the way - like the addition of promises contributed by @urish. The library can still use some more APIs but I've been lax this year in making contributions - more about that below. However, it is super easy to write a wrapper around the I've been hanging out so much on the pigpio site that at the beginning of 2020 the author of pigpio asked me if I would take over the maintenance of that library. I accepted. It has kept me pretty busy and that explains why I've been missing in action here. However, I feel that I will have more time in 2021 to get back to pigpio-client and with the community's help we can make this a better library. I look forward to having discussions with each of you here on what you like or don't like or what is needed to make this a better library. Thanks, |
