Plotly widgets do not work AFAIK, I am investigating.
nb: using show() doesn't not rely on the widget, as commenters mentioned there, so it's functioning is not a valid test to check the issue.

Made new issue to do this, because I'm not sure who to tag, and I don't want to lose relevant issue history by actually creating a new issue here.
