How to install GlusterFS on RHEL9? #4225
-
Hello. The documentation https://docs.gluster.org/en/latest/Install-Guide/Install/ under the "For Red Hat/CentOS" section states that it should be installed from the CentOS Storage SIG repo and points to https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/Storage/gluster-Quickstart for more info. But it gives a 404. After some digging around on the internet I found this repo: https://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/9-stream/storage/x86_64/gluster-10/ So my questions are:

From what i found, it seems you have to install the package "centos-release-gluster" (9 or 10) to get the SIG repo setup up from where you can install glusterfsd. But i am wondering that the SIG Site is archived: https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup(2f)Storage.html And in the normal latest SIG site, there is no glusterfs mentioned at all: https://sigs.centos.org/storage/ Does this has something todo with the EOL of "RedHat Gluster Storage" mentioned here https://access.redhat.com/discussions/7012036 ? |

Try these steps from the article: https://www.server-world.info/en/note?os=CentOS_Stream_9&p=glusterfs11&f=1 |

Thank you for chiming in. But I must admit I am way past this now. However we have ended up going a different route for storage, for unrelated reasons. |

I did get it installed via https://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/9-stream/storage/x86_64/gluster-10 and got it to a working state.
However we have ended up going a different route for storage, for unrelated reasons.
