Cursor with any AI model or any Cursor Rules settings will ignore clear instructions. I can have two short scripts side by side, one the same as the other with a couple differences, and tell it to make one just like the other, and it cannot do it. It will make a few random changes and say "Ok now it should match, let me know if you spot any differences" as if it cannot spot differences itself? If it can't then that should be a bug also. But it will never make the script even remotely similar to the other one, much less identical.
