Introduction

The webpage presents gamma-ray data (mostly images and catalog) as well as other multi-wavelength data that is useful to investigate and understand the gamma-ray data.

What the site contains at the moment is just a starting point. If you have an idea for data we should add, please contact us, or even collaborate and add it with us!

Currently, gamma-sky.net contains the following image and catalog data:

Images

Survey images are prepared in HIPS format. CDS is providing 300+ survey images in HIPS format.

The main image we display at the moment is a Fermi-LAT color image:

• Best pixel size of 0.014 deg
• RGB in energy bands R=0.3-1GeV, G=1-3GeV, B=3-300GeV

Catalogs

• LAT 4-year Point Source Catalog (3FGL)
• Second Fermi-LAT Catalog of High-Energy Sources (2FHL)
• SNRcat catalog (accessed 2015-02-08)
