Highlighting contributors in the topic list?

I had this idea recently but it looks super busy so I'm not opening a PR. But I thought I would throw it out here if anyone thinks it's interesting and maybe has a better idea for how we could do it?

@shiltemann and I agree it's too busy, and it distracts from the nice clean interface we have now. We've discussed hover cards that could highlight the same but, we're not sure.
