Hi, adding a note here as we are also interested in this tool:

Herro seems to be incorporated into the Dorado suite of tools (mainly used for basecalling), which was recently wrapped for Galaxy Au by @TomHarrop.

So it may be possible to extract this error-correction part of dorado as a standalone tool (as @TomHarrop has also done with the adapter-trimming part of dorado, to make https://toolshed.g2.bx.psu.edu/view/galaxy-australia/dorado_trimming/7ff7680fa713)

A note that Herro seems to run the tool porechop first to trim nanopore adapters (https://github.com/lbcb-sci/herro), which we may not want, because this is an outdated tool and it would probably be better to use dorado's adapter-trimming tool instead. Thus it may be good to exclude the porechop part of any install if possible.
