Height is not set when dropdown opens. This causes snapping on first click in the dropdown.

That's a good point. I just pushed a fix that looks like this, but if you have a better solution I would be happy to merge it.

  const dropdownRef = useRef(null);

  useEffect(() => {
    setMenuHeight(dropdownRef.current?.firstChild.offsetHeight)
  }, [])
