We would love to add a link: “Why we are doing this” that would link to our (future) blog post and then have the button that says: “Join the strike” (because it won’t be the first link after the text anymore so the CTA needs to be more explicit)

Is there a way we could customize the widget to do that?

Here is the issue on our side opencollective/opencollective#2360

I was asked to add this on a coffee roasters' website and webshop. The coffee roasters want to join because coffee is very effected by climate change. So adding some words about why this very particular websites joins the strike, that is, explaining it to customers would be very useful.

As I see the texts are just yaml files: https://github.com/fightforthefuture/digital-climate-strike/tree/master/src/translations which are then compiled and deployed to https://assets.digitalclimatestrike.net/index-de.html

I am not sure how one could customize this (maybe using the "iFrame Host:" plugin setting), but I do not see any docs on how to self host (compile and deploy) the iframe.

Can someone give a small rundown on how to do it?

EDIT
ok, I guess I could simply copy https://assets.digitalclimatestrike.net/index-de.html to our own server, edit it and then set the "iFrame Host" option to our own server URL so it points to this copied and adapted html file. Seems not too complicated.

EDIT 2
well, following https://github.com/fightforthefuture/digital-climate-strike#option-2-self-hosted seems best. Sorry, I did not see it at once.

I am unable to get it working for my Jekyll site, would either love more explicit directions on what the iFrame host should be, since my images and fonts incorrectly load, or a programmatic way to pass in your your own text.
