”I did not find an option to validate a report in FECFile online. Does that option even exist?”

While we do not use a validator in FECFile online, there is one in FECFile desktop. We need to better communicate the differences between features/functionality between the two systems so that more users don’t think they’re missing a step or feel as though they are submitting a report with potential errors contained within and inevitably get an RFAI. How might we address any anxiety in the event someone asks, “If I get no inline errors, but I received a submission failure, if I had the validator would it have told me there was an issue before submitting?”

Should this go into Design Review? Do you have any questions for the BAs that we can help with?
To address the question posed in the Design section, yes, if there is a submission failure it will most likely not be because of a validation error.
