Background

  • Crispy Version: 6.0

  • OS and OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Home
    Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045

  • Game: Crispy DOOM

  • Command Line: -iwad "E:\Program Files\DOOMery\officialwads\DOOM.WAD"

Bug description

For some reason when running Crispy from my Steam library via the non-steam game system, the MIDI settings I set via the setup .exe aren't applied. The keybind and mouse settings are, but not the MIDI stuff.

Sound effects option: Digital sound effects
Music option: GUS (emulated)

It works when using a shortcut though, so I suppose I'll use this until then.
Oddly enough, Crispy HeXen and Heretic both work through Steam with no problems.

Have you installed the patches? GUS won't work without additional files, see https://www.chocolate-doom.org/wiki/index.php/GUS

I switched over to native MIDI, but I don't think that worked either. It still had the low quality MIDI when I ran it through Steam.
I can't check anymore though, as I've switched over to Nugget DOOM.

Recently I've switched over back to Crispy doom.
I'm open to continuing this issue.
