v6 unable to listen to "Transfer" events

Just installed v6.0.5 and trying out the following code:

Using Metamask and testing against Avalanche Testnet.

I've been trying to make this work today, but I'm obviously doing something wrong. From the listeners configured in following way:

contract.on('Transfer', data => {
  console.log('Transfer', data);
});

contract.on(contract.filters.Transfer, data => {
  console.log('contract.filters.Transfer', data);
});

contract.on('*', data => {
  console.log('*', data)
});

provider.on('block', data => {
  console.log('block', data);
});

the only log I see in console is from provider.on('block') listener.

Any suggestion maybe what is misconfigured here?

Oh, sorry. Yes, contract.on("*", (event) => { console.log(event.eventName, event.args, event.log); }). The event object will be a ContractPayload.

event should be an object with args, eventName, eventSignature, fragment and log properties.

I am still troubled with getting most of these properties for transactions in both Testnet and Mainnet of Avalanche network with the latest v6 (6.0.8).

First of all, code like this:

contract.on('Transfer', data => {
  console.log('Transfer', data);
});

doesn't log anything, even though the transaction emitted Transfer event.

Listening on all possible events with code like this:

contract.on('*', event => {

On Testnet, I wasn't able to catch any event at all, with any method (not even contract.on('*', listener);.

Could you please explain what could be the reason for not being able to catch Transfer events and why is event caught with "catch all" method (*) missing majority of documented properties, as well as not being able to catch any event on Testnet?

I just downgraded to [email protected], changed only code related to provider (switched from BrowserProvider to Web3Provider) and all contract listener methods from my previous post (contract.on('Transfer', listener);, contract.on(contract.filters.Transfer, listener); and contract.on('*', listener);) work perfectly fine. I guess that means there has to be some issue with listeners in v6 version.
