Moving issue from subrepo: https://github.com/elgatito/elementum/issues/14

When item is downloaded and added to Kodi library with a physical file, strm file should be deleted from disk to remove duplicate entry in the library.

Hello, any news on this request? It would be great to have this feature. Thanks

I seem to be still having this issue. The .strm files are retained for TV shows and movies, even though I have elementum set up to download and keep on a hard drive the aforementioned TV or Movie. In the end I get duplicates for the same TV episode or movie. Selecting one of the 2 thumbnails will give you the options to use the same torrent or select another torrent from the available providers the other thumbnail plays the already local video file. I understand that the file cannot be moved till it has completed downloading and seeding as per your notation in the settings. Is it possible for me to set things up to avoid this with my settings in elementum or can it be fixed. Thanks for this addon alot though. If you want to look into this and need more infos from me I would be happy to provide. Just let me know what I can do

Hi! Hows this going? I'm having the same issue. Kodi library shows both strm and physical file, and it's impossible to know which is which before clicking.

I found this other issue with exact same problem:
#473

There user @Tsadilas says he had the problem but it was solved by fixing some config issues.. Is there something I have missed in the configuration?

One difference I notice, the strm files are all in the same directory for the entire show, but the downloaded files are in Show/Season 1/file.mkv format.

Is there any updates on this feature ? I'd love for the .strm file to be removed when the file is downloaded and moved.

And I'd love even more if I could merge a series with both existing episodes already downloaded and strm file (currently it creates strm files for all episodes, even if a video file already exists for a given episode).

Do you have any pointers to where we could add this behavior in the code ?

not from the top of my head. although i am not the author.
