How do I right click to create a text file / folder?

On Linux Mint you can right click your desktop or inside your file explorer and click 'Create Text File' and 'Create Folder', I only see the folder option inside the file explorer. Where is the file explorer text option and where are both of the desktop options?

There is no desktop in elementaryOS

You do not have the second item in Files ? (empty file)

i have the file option, i dont think ive so many options afterwards

That is because i have folders and files in my Templates folder. That is irrelevant.

But if you have the options for a new folder and empty file, what is the issue ?

You could create a new blank file and put the extension .txt on it.

an empty document is just a text file. But empty.

The screenshot is not of elementary OS. And shows the same options as elementary OS.

Edit: Your screenshot seems to be from a right-click on Mint's desktop. As per my first answer, there is no desktop in elementaryOS. It is just a wallpaper.
by design, there is none, the files should be organized in Files and there is no top catch-all folder called Desktop shown over the wallpaper

if i click on an empty document, a text editor doesnt open it. when creating a new file there should be extensions listed like in linux mint (but the extensiona are of what they do, e.g. 'Empty Document' for .txt)

you can create a file called "text.txt" in the "Templates" folder and it will appear as option.

Empty document opens in the text editor for me. I didnt change the default.

Its an empty document. Which you can create via a right click -> new - > empty document

It opens by default im a text editor

Its like Mint, which you showed yourself.

Please explicit what you want. This is an inarticulate discussion running in circles. You want an option but the option is too techy but you want it but it is too techy but you want it but its too techy but
