There should be some color variance to indicate the new messages in a channel shown at the quick switch menu.

I am not able to replicate this behavior; if you could provide some more detail and a screenshot, it would be appreciated.

Notice the 2nd item

Instructions:
Press Ctrl+K and type a channel name that has a new message, and a channel name that doesn't have a new message, both will be the same color

And you may want to add issue templates so people know what to specify

This seems to be an issue with a number of themes, and I'm having some trouble finding the solution. If anyone can fix this, please contribute a fix!
