The font used for hyperlinks creates large areas of whitespace between characters and in particular the repeated slash character in "https://domain.com". It looks as if the font isn't being kerned properly - perhaps it has no kerning information or kerning is disabled. This is not just very ugly, it looks as if there is a space between the slashes. As a quick fix, a similar font with less slanted slash would minimise the effect.
