Hi, thank you very much for taking the initiative and writing such a great tool for running older GCMS instruments. We have a few HP5890s in our lab and hoping to use your software with a couple of them. I manage to connect to one of the 5890 series II instruments. The instrument sometimes gets programmed by the PyGCMS and shows "Download Complete" but the software shows the error code "init failed '7673'" this is very confusing as the app is specifically configured to run 5890 and even the pyqt_led for 5890 lights up in the application but after that, I can not do much more. I took a look inside the source code as well but failed to find where and when the error code "init failed '7673'" should be printed. Regardless, the instrument gets reprogrammed automatically with the same error on an interval.

Thank you very much again,

Hi, I need to look at disabling the autosampler part as an option. The logic to leave out the 7673 may not be working correctly.
