Currently in Madoc we have focussed on a crowdsourcing workflow with reviews. However we have seen more interest in using Madoc as a standalone tool for annotating without the review process.
Project can be in various modes (in the admin):
If you are logged in as an Administrator of the site and choose "Prepare project" you will get an experience that is close to what a single researcher mode. When preparing a project, you will be editing the annotations directly and saving them without a review step. There is no workflow bar, and the "Save" button will save directly.
More recently, we've expanded autosaving so you can run through this process quickly.
This was originally designed to be used to prepare a project before crowdsourcing, but this workflow could be formalised and expanded.
To formalise this "mode" we would want to expand who can run a project in this mode:
Dedicated project mode / configuration
Allow "reviewers" to access this mode (currently admins)
Attribution if multiple people are contributing*
Correct statistics and filtering when browsing the project
*Currently if you use prepare, you are editing the model directly and are not attributed directly. However the capture model format supports adding general "authors" to a capture model.
