What would you like?

Dear Cypress team,

I'm new to Cypress and I'm impressed of what you've created here and basically a big fan of how Cypress works. However, I feel like the biggest downside of Cypress is the fact that it's pretty hard to generate useful HTML reports. I understand that you probably focus on the commercial Cypress Cloud offerings that probably provide nice reports out of the box. But I also think that the HTML report situation without Cypress Cloud is so bad, that people might choose other modern testing tools such as Karate over Cypress, totally preventing you from ever having the chance of winning these folks for your Cypress Cloud offerings.

A useful HTML report should be easy to generate, the configuration should integrate with other default Cypress configuration options such as video or screenshotOnRunFailure. It should not be necessary to base such fundamental functionality for such a large testing tool like Cypress on a reporter from a random guy or follow complex, hacky instructions that probably break with the next major release.

I now that's nothing to easily achieve tomorrow, but I would already be happy to hear some positive feedback about it, so that my client's organisation can better trust in the reliability of your product.

Why is this needed?
