At the moment, when a user opens a page without JavaScript enabled, we display a message essentially telling them to use the command line.

It may be better to add an argument to the shortcode, so that a GIF (for instance created with agg) is displayed instead, or in addition to, the message. To be clear, the GIF would only be displayed when JavaScript is not enabled.
