Smart Collections

Smart collections are automatically updating collections that you define with search filters. The syntax follows the Font Family Search Syntax.

  • A smart collection can contain multiple active filters
  • Only one value can be active for each filter
  • You cannot manually add a font family to a smart collection

To create a new smart collection, go to Settings -> Collections -> Create New.


Filters


File Path Filter filepath:

Search for fonts by file path. Performs partial matching on the file path, if the font has one.

Example filters

Example Name Filter Value Description
User Installed Fonts \APPDATA\LOCAL\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\FONTS\ Find font families containing font files installed to the users local windows account, and not for all windows users.
Windows Installed Fonts C:\WINDOWS\FONTS\ Find font families containing font files installed to Windows on the C:\ drive for all users to use.
Adobe CC Fonts \ROAMING\ADOBE\CORESYNC\ Find font families containing font files installed to the local users account by Adobe Creative Cloud.

Foundry Filter foundry:

Search for fonts by Foundry/Manufacturer. Performs partial matching of the fonts foundry/manufacturer metadata field.

Examples Filters

Example Name Filter Value Description
Monotype monotype Returns font families containing font files that have monotype inside their manufacturer metadata field.
Microsoft microsoft Returns font families containing font files that have microsoft inside their manufacturer metadata field.

Designer designer:

Search for fonts by Designer. Performs partial matching of the fonts designer metadata field.
