VS code can compare a file. We have (via F1->"compare ..."):
The nice thing: this keeps all syntax highlighting and there's no need to leave the editor.
I guess the following could be done internal when "svn diff" is used:
svn checkout
The left file (the one where the compare->with was started from) is always read-only, which is perfect in this case.
