Audio over HDMI not working on Pi 5 with Core 24 #118

I am unable to get audio working on the HDMI port using this gadget snap on a Raspberry Pi 5 with Ubuntu Core 24.

aplay -l outputs: aplay: device_list:277: no soundcards found...

I tried adding these to config.txt, but it still doesn't work:
dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d
hdmi_drive=2
