Description of the Issue

First time install of 64bit NPP (7.5.6). The first thing I noticed is that Plugin Manager is missing entirely. I tracked down this forum because the 32bit NPP is looking for the Plugin Manager ver 1.4.5 (a seperate issue) so I had time to find the link in my browser. SO.. I downloaded and manually installed Plugin Manager 1.4.11. It opens, downloads the 64bit plugin list, but nothing I tried will actually install. :/

Steps to Reproduce the Issue

  1. see above

Expected Behavior

installs plugins

Actual Behavior

does not install plugins

Regarding the bundling of the PM with N++, see https://notepad-plus-plus.org/community/topic/15745/faq-desk-the-missing-plugin-manager.

@crogonint Which windows version do you use?

See #114, maybe TLS 1.2 is also not active in your case.

Similar problem + the same with updating plugins.
The program does not issue errors.

Once out of ten, I managed to update 2 plugins, but for this:

  1. I forced gpup.exe and gup.exe to admin rights via properties.
  2. In the plugin's settings, a check mark was set to "Force HTTP ..."
  3. NPP x64 is running from admin rights.
Once out of ten, updating the same plugins in order to get the right result is not a normal plug-in operation.

Perhaps there is a place to be “race condition” and/or not issuing “admin rights” for the plugins folder.

I observe a similar situation in the "DSpellCheck" plugin, there after downloading, dictionaries are not saved. And it is also impossible to change the saving position from "For Current User" to "For All Users". But that's another story.

"See # 114, maybe TLS 1.2 is also not active in your case."

All TLS active in IE.

Info sys:
NPP x64 v7.5.9 and PluginManager_v1.4.12_x64.zip
windows 8 x64

P.S. sorry for my bad english
