Copying url from Chrome Address Bar does not show up in Clipbaord

I created a plugin using IFTTT to send the clipboard to Pocket. This uses {string} and when I copy a link by control clicking on a link in chrome I am offered to use the clipboard when running the command in Lacona; however, if i copy the URL from the address bar instead, I am not presented with the option to use the clipboard when running the command. Why is this? Also, is there a way to simplify using the clipboard instead of having to enter the command and then select the clipboard option and then run the command? (One less step...)
