Variables do not work correctly with Webthings gateway version 1.1.0 #85

Since the update to Webthings version 1.1.0 the content of variables is not shown correctly anymore. See screenshot. There is no content shown anymore. Also in case a new variable is created it does not show any content. Is there any fix available for that issue?

I noticed this too. As a workaround I was able to bring the Macro Variables thing into the Things screen where the variables could be interrogated and reviewed.

Hi, thanks for reporting this issue!
I am no longer actively developing on this project, but I am willing to accept PRs :)
