"Automatically refresh task list from file" does not work with Google Drive for Desktop

I just switched to Google Drive for Desktop from Backup and Sync which is being deprecated. Automatic file refresh worked great with Backup and Sync, but it does not work with Google Drive for Desktop. I have to close and re-open todotxt.net to retrieve changes from Google Drive. Any suggestions? Thanks!

That is odd, have you seen this behavior with another application? I still use dropbox for some stuff, todo file included.

I can try it also. I would test using for example an editor that has "watch and reload". notepad2 does this, for instance.

I've confirmed other applications are working correctly.
