Also @calebissharp and I aren't sure what it is, can we get a brief description here @LisaMoore1 ?

Is it something that is meant to carry forward from FTA?

These are elements that have not been implemented. They are not coming over from FTA but are an RUP/MyRA related thing

Exemption: there are situations where a DDM can identify (make a decision) that a RAN Is exempt from aspects of RUP content/approval. When that happens now, a letter (document) is sent and put on file indicating the conditions of the exemption (there is always a minimum content requirement for schedule or following a previously approved though expired RUP), the term and any other conditions.

Extension: in the current legal framework a RUP can be extended an additional 5 years once (total length is 10 years) if the AH requests it. This is likely to change in coming years as a FRPA amendment is nearly in place to change plan term to match agreement term. Basically a mandatory amendment initiated by the AH that changes the end date that needs to be tracked/identifiable from other mandatory amendments so we can manage that the RUP is in extended status and that it can only happen once.

These are separate things outside of regular workflow that will likely need separate statuses and some mini workflows. We could do a super simple manual version for staff “Check this box if this RUP has been extended. For now (2020-01-10) this is lowish priority. It has come up but I always remind them that establishing the primary workflows is our priority.

Need way to show something has been extended (current work around is to do an amendment to end date but not specifically marked as an extension) and exempted (no way of doing this right now (see #986)
