I have the same issue, no matter what I put as URL, the screen becomes black for a second and then returns back to showing Balena logo. Don't know if that is helpful, but in Run checks I can see just one error:

Some container_engine issues detected:
test_container_engine_restarts Container engine balena has 2 restarts and may be crashlooping (most recent start time: Thu 2021-10-14 15:06:22 UTC)

Some additional test info. In short, balenaDash worked as expected with balenaOS 2.80.5+rev1 with a Pi4 on both an HDMI TV and subsequently on an official 7" Pi display. On more recent versions of balenaOS, the LAUNCH_URL site did not display. Tested with LAUNCH_URL == http://www.youtube.com

  1. Raspberry Pi4, balenaOS 2.85.2+rev3, HDMI TV: balena logo only, LAUNCH_URL site not displayed
  2. Raspberry Pi4, balenaOS 2.83.10+rev1, HDMI TV: balena logo only, LAUNCH_URL site not displayed
  3. Raspberry Pi4, balenaOS 2.80.5+rev1, HDMI TV: worked as expected
  4. Raspberry Pi4, balenaOS 2.85.2+rev3, official 7" Pi display: balena logo only, LAUNCH_URL site not displayed
  5. Raspberry Pi4, balenaOS 2.80.5+rev1, official 7" Pi display: worked as expected

This may not may not be related to #138. Note that the reporter of that issue tried items 3 and 5 above, which worked for me, but did not resolve the issue for them.

Please could you do a new deploy to your fleet? I've just added a fix for this. If you used the DeployWithBalena button, you can reclick it, and select "Use existing application". If you used the CLI and balena push then make sure you pull the latest git changes before you push.

@phil-d-wilson, it works! Pi4 + official 7" screen + balenaOS 2.85.2+rev3. Thank you.

I have the same issue. Is there any fix for this?

Raspberry Pi 4 4GB, HDMI to TV. balenaOS 2.85.2+rev3

EDIT: never mind, just forced update of supervisor and it is now working.
