Thank your very much for this port of commerce. As far as I can test it, all seems to work.

Of course, there are still some modules needed to fully test this. For example billing gateways like commerce_paypal or commerce_stripe and a invoice system like commerce_billy.

Any idea, if some of these modules are getting ported to backdrop cms as well:

Glad to hear it seems to be working! These companion module ports are not part of the work I am currently doing, although I'd be glad to see them ported and could help on volunteer time with no promised timeline.

We did do one invoicing module for a client although I don't know if it's as robust as billy: https://github.com/backdrop-contrib/commerce_invoice_receipt

Stripe has been started, but is looking for maintainers (https://github.com/backdrop-contrib/commerce_stripe). I'm a bit worried about the state of the 7.x of that module though so I think it may need some work... See: https://www.drupal.org/project/commerce_stripe/issues/3198867
