Typescript errors with captureFetchGlobal

When importing the captureFetchGlobal:

import { captureFetchGlobal } from "aws-xray-sdk-fetch";
const myFetch = captureFetchGlobal();

This triggers eslint errors:

Unsafe assignment of an `any` value.

And then when calling it:

Unsafe return of an `any` typed value.
Unsafe call of an `any` typed value.

Is there any way around this?
