Using the plug-in at https://www.ceresville.com/make-a-payment/. Some users report payment form timing out and not allowing them to complete the transaction. I have not been able to replicate the issue

I spoke with the “API” Help Desk at First Data.

  • For the “Auth Only” this means that the card is process and checked to confirm it is a valid card before it is processed. So, it is a two step process for each transaction. Apparently, this is a setting within the page set up or shopping cart. The tech was not sure if this was causing the “clocking” or “timing out”.

  • For the “clocking or timing out” the tech said this is caused by the coding on the payment page? The said there could be some part of the developers code that is causing the delay.

  • He also mentioned that the “clocking or timing out” could be caused because our site is hosted on a busy server.

So this is what I have found out. Again, I need to get this resolved so that our clients do not have trouble making payments.

Is any progress being made?

I am working on this, but I an trying to fund definitive time to work on the plugin and get the next release out.

I can't fund it all., I wish I could. What do I need to pay to get this resolved?

Not asking you to fund it all. But, if you'd like to contribute anything, please feel free to help out if you can.

So I've contributed what I can, so far. I got this from my client....

Since Friday we have had 4 clients attempt to pay online. One went through on Friday for $400. The second one went through for $111.30. The third charge of $2000 had and auth only check mark beside it so it was approved but the charge would not go through (the client ended up calling it in.). The fourth charge for $4800 also had an auth only checkmark but did not go through.

So, this seems to have something to do with the amounts. Larger amounts will not process. It seems that the larger charges are authorized but will not process. My understanding is this is a two step process with the authorization first and then the actual processing through the gateway.

If you can work with me to get this working reliably, I can bill them for time and contribute significantly more. I just need to get it working.

Have you downgraded Gravity Forms and WordPress? I have had some people do this to keep the plugin working. If so, and you're still getting the amount issue, let me know.

what versions do I need to roll back to?

Just spoke with First Data... and then submitted the following to GF support...

My client is using First Data to process payments via their website.I am using GF and the thirf party plugin called Gravity Forms + First Data (https://wordpress.org/plugins/gravity-forms-first-data-global-gateway-addon/) Any payments of $1,000 or more are being authorized but not processed because the comma in the total is being rejected by First Data's system. According to their support group their system only allows for a period for the cents column. Is there a way I can remove the comma from being transmitted?

From GF Support... The total which is saved in the entry is not formatted. It is only formatted when displayed in notifications, confirmations or the entry list or detail pages. The add-on is responsible for how a value is formatted when it is sent to the third-party service.
can you help?
