MSSQL Connector

This is an Arrow connector to Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).

Installation

$ appc install connector/appc.mssql

Usage

Reference the connector in your model.

var Account = Arrow.Model.extend('Account', {
	fields: {
		Name: { type: String, required: true, validator: /[a-zA-Z]{3,}/ }
	},
	connector: 'appc.mssql'
});

If you want to map a specific model to a specific table, use metadata. For example, to map the account model to the table accounts, set it such as:

var Account = Arrow.Model.extend('account', {
	fields: {
		Name: { type: String, required: false, validator: /[a-zA-Z]{3,}/ }
	},
	connector: 'appc.mssql',
	metadata: {
		'appc.mssql': {
			table: 'accounts'
		}
	}
});

The types in the database are converted to javascript types as follows:

  • char, varchar, text, nchar, nvarchar, ntext -> to String

  • decimal, money, numeric, smallmoney, real, tinyint, smallint, mediumint, bigint, int, integer, float, bit, double, binary -> to Number

  • datetimeoffset, smalldatetime, datetime2, date, datetime, time, year -> to Date

All other types are converted to String.

Development

This section is for individuals developing the MSSQL Connector and not intended for end-users.

npm install
node app.js

Running Unit Tests

The tests will automatically create their own table named "TEST_Post".

npm test
