Creating GameLegOS

Prize Bounty

$5000 USD, distributed among participants

Challenge Description

This is a cooperative challenge inspired by one of the entries in the JS13k Challenge: Frank Force's os13k.

We want the Gitcoin hackers to create a similar OS-like dApp, but this time composed of open-source reusable smart contracts, front-end code, and small games / tech demos that can show non-web 3.0 HTML5 game developers what the possibilities are with Web 3.0.

The focus should be on making the modules composable, similar to DeFi's money legos. This is the goal for GameLegOS: we're hoping the code created for it will help jumpstart the creation of composable Game Legos.

Hackers can be creative with what Game Legos they create for GameLegOS, and we're excited to see what the community comes up with!

Helping HTML5 game developers monetize will probably be the most appreciated though. In the 2021 Gamedev.js survey we find that almost 60% of HTML5 Game developers are making <$1k annually. If GameLegOS can show them how to earn a more sustainable income using Web 3.0, we would have more than achieved our goal!

Submission Requirements

Hackers should create a repository for this challenge, tagging this issue for reference. The completed submission should include a deployed live demo, the updated code and an updated README.md file documenting the project and each of the Game Legos created for the challenge.

The application must be (1) the original work of the individual participant or the participating team; (2) third-party technology used by the individual participant or the participating team must be subject to valid perpetual, irrevocable licenses.

By submitting an application, the individual participant and each member of a participating team, jointly and severally, represent and warrant that the application, and all components thereof, will not violate any rights of any person or entity, including without limitation, any copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property rights, or violate any applicable national, federal, state, or local laws, regulations, or policies, including those relating to export control.

Judging Criteria

The distribution of the prizes will be determined by a panel of Web 3.0 and HTML5 game developers (final lineup to be announced before awarding). The hope is that the community will create one version of GameLegOS and the whole bounty will be distributed across all participants. In the case of several versions, the panel will also determine how the prizes will be distributed across the different versions.

Winner Announcement Date

1 week after Submission Deadline

Work has been started.

These users each claimed they can complete the work by 21 minutes from now.
Please review their action plans below:

1) gitcoindeveloper has started work.

2) sagar133 has started work.

I would create a phaser 3 based game that interacts with blockchain using web3 to give a feel of blockchain-based RPG type of game. It would use uniswap v2 for the trading(swap) functionality according to the game setted market which provides indicators through cronjob. The overall contracts and interaction would be on rinkeby and uinswap app of rinkeby so the game would be free of cost to play but in the future can be deployed on mainnet with real arbitrage opportunities. Would be building on top of the template provided by OP games that uses parcel and phaser.
3) kilogold has started work.

For those using professional game engines like Unity, I provide a "Game Faucet".
A Unity package that can be imported into your WebGL projects to immediately configure payouts to players per final score.

This component enables creative use of distributing tokens through games, as well as creating a community-funded prize pool (because anyone can replenish the faucet).

The limit here is your own imagination, so have fun with it!
4) marcpolican has started work.

Multiplayer 3d fighting game prototype you can play on the browser
5) brianspha has started work.

POC ERC20 Puzzle game
