Places to book ahead for a Japan Trip

🗓️ When to make reservations?

  • You can buy tickets 1 month ahead of time.
  • Tickets are released at 10:00 JST on the 10th of each month.
  • Example: October tickets are released on September 10th at 10:00 JST.

⚙️ How to buy tickets

  1. Create a Japanese Lawson Account (ローソンWEB会員): https://l-tike.com/login/newcustomer/
  2. Go to 三鷹の森ジブリ美術館 - ローチケ (ローソンチケット)
  3. Find the month you want to go (e.g. 8/2(水)～8/31(木)入場分 for August)
  4. Click on 詳細はこちら

Electronic Ticket vs Paper Ticket

Day of the visit

  • Go to the museum at the designated time (e.g. 10:00 ~ 10:30).
    • Must enter within 1 hour of the designated time.
    • You might be able to enter earlier than the designated time if there is space.

🗓️ When to make reservations?

  • You can reserve exactly 1 month ahead of time. (e.g. For August 1st, you can reserve from July 1st)

⚙️ How to make reservations?

  • Go to https://reserve.pokemon-cafe.jp/reserve/agree
  • Check the 同意する box and click 同意して進む button
  • Click the 選択してください dropdown and select the number of people
    • Ex/ 1名 for 1 person
  • A calendar will appear.
    • If the date is grayed out, it means that the date is not available (either fully booked or not yet available for reservations)
    • 満席 means that the date is fully booked
    • 未開放 means that the date is not yet available for reservations
  • After selecting a date, click the 次に進む button
  • Select a time

Additional Notes:

  • You can try calling the cafe to see if there are any cancellations on the day of.
