General Information

Optifine
Edit: I use the ViaForge for 1.8.9 to connect to newer versions

Bug Description

When I play on a server above a certain version (whenever hex color codes were added) It crashes when player with "weird" messages type something.

Has to do something with the packets and I can't find a workaround. Please make it so that it supports stuff above 32767 bytes like newer mc versions. Bcuz if not then a simple message can disconnect one from any server.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Join any server with "fancy chat colors" or whatever, (there are houndreds on minehut)
  2. Wait for someone with those fancy colours to say anything
  3. get disconnected

Expected Behavior

I belive that the intentional thing would be to see the message that got sent and not get disconnected
