Derived parameter functions that have python2 coding in them fail in this version of CAVE. The results in several fields not plotting for a specific example, bulk shear vectors. See attached image of output.

conda 4.8.2
python 3.7.6
numpy 1.15.1
jep 3.8.2

I also added the miniconda3 python.exe to the python interpreter in CAVE.

Thoughts?

I'd like to add that if I copy the Python3 versions of the derived parameter files into my user folder in ../caveData/common/user//derivedParameters/<functions,definitions,python> it is essentially yelling at me that something is not in the package.

err2

Is there a way to have CAVE not download localization files from a server and instead reference the data in the Unidata/AWIPS CAVE folder on Windows? Or is there a SITE that I can put in the EDEX server that has updated localization files?

Thank you!

I think build 18 of AWIPS still uses the python2 binary. I don't think it switches to python3 until build 20.2+.
