The Hunter mobs look human, and although that gives them some kind of personality, that kinda disrupts the "flow" of Minecraft, where we are supposed to be the only "Players" in the world.

My suggestion would be to update the Vanilla-style Vampirism resource pack, and turn the Hunter NPC mobs into more Villager-esque mobs, making them look like Villagers who are just dedicated to explore the world and hunt Vampires as a profession.

It would be nice for this to be on the resource pack only so you can always choose between seeing the Hunter's variated skins, or if you want them to blend in with your Vanilla+ gameplay.

As for the Vampires, I guess they're okay. After all, the Zombies DO look like infected players, and Vampire Villagers already exist.

Mod experience

This tweak is merely a visual change and does not affect the gameplay significantly.

The thing is that it's explained by lore, so turning them into villagers would make no sense, they're just of a different specie. Human race is basically cursed, so infected villagers can be cured, while human vampires cannot and they're more powerful themselves.
