to be honest I do not 100% understand what you mean. I think that properties should be able to solve everything people could want to track as you can have a property that is completely arbitrary. What is currently missing and what I want to add at some point is the possibility to set maximum/minimum/target values for a property on a per user basis and the ability to view total values for a given day in the meal plan. What else do you need to facilitate your feature? |

Hello !
I tried TandoorRecipes in a search for a tool to plan the meals weekly and generate the associated shopping list.
One of the thing I'm looking for is to be able to have an eye on the balance of my daily/weekly diet.
To do so propose two vision of implementation, as two complexity level:
To complete this first level, a simple note could be added in the "meal of the week" view in order which will say that the day (or week) is balanced, or in lack/excess of the category X.
-2nd level : have the possibility to add properties of the aliment (maybe supported by the beta feature "properties") which will allow to attach to each aliment object a set of nutritional value (as suggested as well in Idea #1803).
like the 1st level, it would be completed by a new View allowing tweaking the recommend nutritional intake on a daily basis (customizable, following government or professional advice).
Completing this 2nd level a summary could be added in the "meal of the week" to comment the combined intake from the meals regarding to the target defined.
I planning to study more in depth the feasibilityof such feature, if that's something you would like TandoorRecipes to do, please let me know, otherwise going forward will be on my local application only :)
Best regards,
