very interesting idea, this is currently not supported but something that I will keep in mind as I could use it every now and then as well. Would make the data model even more complicated which I would love to avoid but it makes sense. |

I am not sure how people use the meal plan start and end days. I come from using Forks over Knives meal planner and a meal plan entry can have non-sequential days. For example, Week 42 can have a meal plan entry recipe of Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte for 6 servings, with 2 servings on Monday, 2 servings on Wednesday, 2 servings on Friday.
The only option I can see to accomplish separating the servings across non-sequential days in Tandoor is to make 3 separate meal plan entries. Now each meal plan entry recipe only shows 2 servings for the recipe, and the shopping list shows 3 x Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte recipes planned for the week at 2 servings each.
Unfortunately, the UI has an issue where a 0 serving size entry still adds the default recipe serving size to the shopping list when the global auto shopping list is active. So, I still need to add 2 separate meal plan entries for the daily serving size, then when cooking increase the serving size for the full cake.
The forks over knives meal plan entry has an option to split up the servings. I think this makes more sense for people who want to separate out the nutrition value and not eat cake everyday. Good for large recipes that can be eaten over time for people who do not want to eat the same leftovers every night in a row.
