Whenever you have an ammount of glass not a multiple of 4 you always are left with some non-connecting glass. Idea is to make connected glass variants craftable with only one glass block instead of four

Hmm that should be fine, might indeed change that whenever I look into it.
For now, you can also use the chisel from Rechiseled to convert between the different glass blocks and to get a preview of them in case you happen to have Rechiseled installed.
